Jonas ŠVAŽAS
Born 1925 in the village of Urvikiai of Mažeikiai district.
Studies
1953 graduated from Vilnius State Institute of Art.
1953-1976 he worked as a painting lecturer at the same Institute. He was granted the name of an assinstant - professor. In 1963-1969 and 1973-1974 chairmain at the Painting Section of the Artists’ Union. In 1975 he was granted the name of the Honoured Art Figure; the State Prize winner. In 1954-1976 participated in the exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.
Died 1976 in Vilnius.
